IMC Radio News Minutes 2005-04-19

Recap: Sandra Ahten, Kimberlie Kranich and Carol Ammons really came
through this week with stories surrounding issues of racial disparity and
LGBT rights. Dave Berliner rebroadcast a story he produced for Free
Speech Radio News about the proposed 2nd nuclear reactor in Clinton, Il.
Kim's talk about the history of LGBT rights was cut short. It timed out
to 20 minutes but only 12 minutes of it was aired to prevent flooding and
make room for Carol's piece and Dave's piece. There is a problem with one
of the mic cables in the studio and it should be replaced to prevent
further difficulties during interviews.

Outreach: If the radio would do more phone interviews to reach out to the
community on the racial disparity issue and the LGBT rights issue maybe it
could get more people involved. Can WRFU in anyway contribute to this
process?
