arggggh!

got a report that mother jones froze up again last night!  damn.  well,
back to the drawing board.  this time we'll take out and reinstall all the
hardware, and get a fan on it.  i'm positive all the drivers are correct,
but i'll see if there's been any problems reported about them with Win2K,
just in case it is some weird driver conflict.

also, the audio switcher box might be going bad.  the sound dropped out
(as the Minidisc deck was starting to be used).  After flipping the
switches around and testing them (which worked fine, i'm told), they
returned to the minidisc and it was working fine.  maybe a loose
connection (or a worn out one?)
