[Imc-tech] What's Up with Tech?

Hey all,
It's strange--there are 27 people who are subscribed to this list, and yet,
for the last month of meetings we're lucky if we have 4 people show
up. And before that it wasn't much better.
So I was wondering -- why the disconnect? Seriously, I, as the long spoke
to the Steering group and the guy who's done most of the coordinating,
would really like to hear from everyone why there isn't so much interest in
participating with the IMC Tech group.
I am also asking for honest answers. I don't want to debate you or dismiss
what you think.
Do we meet too often or not often enough? Do we meet at a bad time?
Are the goals of the tech group not clearly defined? Are our goals to
constrained?
Do you not like how meetings are run? Not like how the group is
run? Would you prefer a different model of organization? Would you prefer
some other geek be the spoke?
Are there things we should be doing? Are there things we shouldn't be doing?
Do you simply not have the time or inclination to do more than lurk?
(that's OK!)
You may have your own questions, too -- so ask and answer away. I'm
sincere in this request because my ultimate concern is to see the Tech
group function best for the IMC and for the communities at large--however
we might all see that.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts, ideas, questions and answers,
Paul
