Alternatively, perhaps you are asking how to determine the hostname of
a machine that you are sitting at.

If you visit http://wolfgang.groogroo.com/test.cgi from the machine
that you want information for and then look at the "REMOTE_ADDR"
attribute you can find out the IP address of the machine that you used
to visit the URL from. You can then use the "host" commad with the
address to get the hostname.
