[IMC-Tech] chambana.net: the future is TODAY at 8pm!

Tuesday (TODAY) at 8pm at the UC-IMC (downtown Urbana PO building on
Broadway between Lincoln Square Mall and the County Courthouse) we'll
have the first meeting to brainstorm about how to sustainably handle
the future of chambana.net community webhosting since I'm moving to
Chicago (I'm writing this email from my new apartment).

I really hope to see some folks from OJC, Acorn, and IMC Tech as well
as just random folks who want to help. I'd like for us to be able to
discuss possible synergies (or discard as mutually undesirable other
possible synergies) between these groups. The more community tech
resources are at the table at this meeting, the more we can be sure to
create a proposal for IMC Steering that represents the best the
community can support. 

I'd like to see not only people who want to help admin the systems but
also users of the system who can give their feedback about what they'd
like to see from an end-user perspective. This is the future of YOUR
webserver that is at stake.

We will certainly not be making final decisions at this meeting but
we'll probably be shaping future discussions so please make every
effort to be there or else join and email your thoughts (your
experience and background, the level on which you'd like to help,
things you'd like to see happen with the project) to the
chambana-future email list.
