Dave,

It's not that the issue was very urgent, it just happened to come up
suddenly and was quickly dealt with. I have personally sent out emails
to Matt and Ross, although I realize that it is after the fact and a bit
late, for which I apologize. There is nothing preventing administrative
access from being reinstated later, but the action being made I see no
particular reason to change it at the moment. I think that it's
reasonable not to have administrative accounts on IMC systems that
belong to people who aren't beholden to the IMC in any way and share no
responsibility for the disposition of those systems. There was a reason
for those accounts to have admin access before, and now there isn't. I'm
sorry if the actions seem rash or rude, but I felt that a discussion of
why emotions might be running high or quick actions might be taken due
to political matters internal to CUWiN wasn't something to be placed on
a public list. It was not my intent to hurt any feelings by posting
this, I just have a personal policy of posting updates to this list of
actions and events pertaining to the IMC's systems and Chambana.net for
which I am partly or wholly responsible and which may affect others. As
for asking the list, I know that Dan or I rarely consult the list for
the simple reason that it is a very low-traffic list. I freely admit
that the whole matter could perhaps been handled better, so I'm sorry
about that.
