[UCIMC-Tech] IMC is on Twitter

Most of the these two groups' members already know this, but the IMC is on
Twitter: http://twitter.com/UCIMC

I'm sending this out to each IMC working group.  Chris R. told me that you
had actually discussed this at the meeting yesterday, including an idea to
have a Twitter feed to the main page - which would be effective.

If you're not familiar with it, Twitter allows members of the IMC to publish
a quick update about what is going on in the building, upcoming events,
accomplishments, call-outs for help/volunteers, important announcements
about local news that isn't being covered, and more.

It also allows us to follow similar updates from other people and groups,
who can subscribe to our profile and receive our updates.  It's a way to get
the public to feel like they have another means to participate in and with
the Independent Media Center.

Let's use this to spread the word about the IMC - *any member should be able
to "tweet," as long as they understand that it is meant to promote and
publicize what is going on at the IMC - not to air dirty laundry or to have
internal conversations.*
