Sounds interesting.  Under this plan, what would the IMC acquire, exactly?  
Is it just a screen, or would there be a projector too?
$250 sounds reasonable for a nice screen.   Decent projectors
seem to be more like $600-$750, plus maybe $350 per bulb for
occasional bulb replacements (every 1000-1500 hours' use).
If the IMC would like to go for acquiring one I think it'd be
great, and would contribute toward it... but it is a significant expense.
