Chris, is it just the IMC general list, or all publicly archived lists?
Either way, it should be possible to run gzip across
/home/mailman/archives/public on mccoy, as long as you make sure the
command you use follows symlinks (the public archive directory just has
symlinks to select directories in private). Just make sure it only pulls
the public archives. Also you probably only need the HTML archives, and
not the original mboxes.
