[UCIMC-Tech] [Grc-organizers] IMC tech issues update & GRC tech prep timeline

We've never really had an event with this expected intensity of usage. I'm
confident that there will be enough wifi for folks to get online, stream
media in sessions, etc. but if you're talking about some folks streaming
content live from the network as well, and uploading video/audio during the
weekend also, then yes, the network bandwidth will be taxed.

I don't think it will be a train wreck, but if you want I can connect with
Peter to see what options he could assist with. If he is willing to set up
a connection maybe we can dedicate it to the wifi network. If that's going
to happen, it needs to get set up Saturday or before.

The Makerspace session you're mentioning- do you mean they intend to
originate a stream? I need to know more about what they're intending to do.
It will probably be fine.

Re: network cables, yes, I had intended to run a hard wired to key
locations. My sense of those locations are:
-stage
-sun room
-library

There are already hard wired connections in
-family room
-makerspace
-all 2nd floor rooms

I'll be working this weekend on all this, Barry as well, and have Wed. off
to dedicate to final things. Josh K. and potentially others from OTI will
be there Wed as well.
