Hi Tech list,

Have we seen other recent examples of emails to chambana.net Mailman timing
out like this? A couple of our volunteers have received this message when
trying to post to the lists recently.

*Hello everyone. Here are notes from the first part of the meeting. I am
sending it out in two parts since this may be an easier way to digest and
review. Part 2 will capture our discussion about building our collection
and dealing with not having books patrons want. Send me feedback directly
if I left out something or just "got it wrong"*

*Chairperson update: *in last 5 months: both sites had clean-up days,
downtown needs a second date, have been cleaning up active volunteer list
on portal so to be accurate, oriented new volunteers-& developed on page
“quick guidelines. Please let B2P and Nancy know of changes in contact
info. **

*Staffing –*3 new volunteers: Laura F (downtown), Crista & Angela U.
(satellite) Leaving: Crista, Lexie moving but plans 1 day month. Satellite
needs ppl in March due to vacations. Doris requests that volunteers let us
know if you are planning long trip or change of schedule.

Discussed pros and cons of having 3 people at shift; it is good when census
is high, but sometimes not needed. We often get by with just one.

Suggestion for recruitment: contact RSVP, Librarian program, local libraries
. Develop one page flyer, local libraries. Doris will follow-up on making
flyer, Angela to help. Send flyer to Becca when done.

library we can use white label and magic marker alphabet letter. We
need pencils
sharpened regularly, need more for downtown, Doris will ask Nancy about
what type of pencil is permissible. We discussed how rules change with time
at jail regarding what is allowed, security, etc.

*Strategies for basic maintenance of collection: *toss books that are
losing pages, a subjective call, as some books are very popular.**Tape
stickers securely. Discussed issue that books do not come back, mostly
