[IMC-US-Tech] Re: [IMC-US] Lists for us.indymedia

the reason for the change after the "@" from groogroo to chambana.net is
that the UCIMC has been moving its hosted lists to its community webserver
(see www.chambana.net). both the old and new addresses will continue to
work. personally, i think it's a _really_ good idea to have the lists on
the lists.indymedia.org site and a _really_ bad idea to have all so many
lists on a single machine. whenever the global mail server goes down it
creates a huge mess since no one can communicate.

originally, the reason to move the imc-us lists to the ucimc's server was
to lower congestion on the global machine (which pops up from time to time
as a problem), lessen the chances of a communications blackout, and
because it's extremely easy to add new lists. i'd recommend that we get
the existing lists listed, but that we maintain them on the ucimc server.
