Dear Dr. Seriani,
I am one of the web editors at UC IMC. We received a letter from you
asking that we remove a story posted by you approximately 3 years ago.

You referenced the story number as being #844. I checked on our site and
the story with this number is at this link:
http://www.ucimc.org/newswire/display/844/index.php
I think this clearly is not the article you mention. It is a comment to
this parent article:
http://www.ucimc.org/newswire/display_any/840
This also does not appear to be the article you mention.

Furthermore, as you can see, article #844 is actually about five years
ago on the UC IMC website, although as I age myself, I can see how we
sometimes misjudge time in this way. However, I suspect that you
actually have the wrong IMC and your article is posted somewhere else on
the IMC network. The Indymedia network consists of some 150+ autonomous
IMCs spread across 40+ countries. Each operates its own websites and
many have other media outlets. While there is some coordination, we all
very much tend to go our own ways.

You can view the list of current IMCs on the left sidebar of our homepage:
http://www.ucimc.org/

If you can find the article on the specific IMC you posted it on, I
would suggest contacting that IMC via its published contacts. At a
minimum, I will need a URL that links to the specific artcile you are
concerned about. If you cannot make contact with that IMC, I would be
happy to assist you, if I can, in making contact.

If the article was posted on UC IMC, it is our policy that if the author
is identifiable and we are satisfied that the person requesting the
changes is who they say they are, they can request changes to it or even
deletion. However, each IMC sets its own editorial policies, so I can't
speak for the IMC where your story is posted.
Regards,
Mike Lehman
