OK, I will do this,
http://www.ucimc.org/node/2113
but only because it is an IMC-affiliated project.
Even so, this announcement really does not qualify to be a Feature, even
under this provision of our policies. It provides no background for the
reader, is unclear even as to exactly what the BTP concept is, and
presumes by its narrow and cryptic nature that only "insiders" would
have any interest in attending the event.
Oh, for an explanatory paragraph or two, to tell readers what BTP is,
why the conference is being held here and who is attending, and why they
might want to get involved. It would be nice if it had enough text for
even a teaser, instead of cutting out in the middle of telling the
reader what the title's of Saturday events are, even if there is no real
description of the speakers or their topic. Whether it's free or not or
even the public is invited to attend beyond the ending poetry event is
unclear.
I don't mean to sound so grumpy, but it's a pity that this resource is
so poorly used when it could be so much more productive, as well as
interesting to readers.
