[Imc-web] A Vision

Hi Everyone:

I gave a presentation at Eastern Illinois University on Wednesday on
Independent Media as part of a Communication Day panel discussion. I pulled
up a copy of the ucimc website and noticed that depending on the screen size
of the monitor that is something which appears to have an impact on how the
site comes up. Fortunately I don't think this is something that my audience
is inclined to know. However, having access to different size screens is one
way to 'test' how well the site manages to come up in different browsers at
different resolutions.

One of the things I do when desigining web pages (using dreamweaver) is I
look at sites that already exist and that are working. In regards to
addressing some of our ongoing issues with the ucimc web page here are some
that I think can offer some ideas.

Also, I was checking out the Chicago Indymedia site and came across ways to
access television programming through the network.
