*Channing-Murray Foundation introduces The Farmers’ Table Project*

Urbana, IL

The Channing-Murray Foundation is starting a new program titled The Farmers’
Table Project.  The mission of this project is to educate the
Champaign-Urbana community about the importance of shopping locally, eating
seasonally, and to build community around slow food. Founders Steve Moore
and Erin Brunelle are organizing The Farmers’ Table Dinner: a non-profit,
volunteer-run, vegetarian meal that features local products purchased
directly from farmers and business-owners at the Urbana Farmers’ Market.  The
dinners will be held at the Red Herring on Saturday nights from 7-9pm for
the duration of the market season, starting on May 30.  The menu for the
dinners will feature the best of what is available at the Market that
day.  What
we know for sure is that it will always be a fresh, delicious, and healthful
meal, prepared with love and local ingredients.  Tickets cost $20 for a
three-course meal.  Reservations are required, and can be made by calling
Erin at 217.840.9388 or by purchasing tickets at the Tiny Greens Farm booth
