[Imc-web] images in comments -> internal codes instead of pictures?

I tried posting a couple of pictures from a demonstration last Thursday
as a comment to the post announcing it,

I clicked on the "picture" icon in the comment-editing area,
uploaded pictures, saw them as pix in the editing text-entry area,
as expected.

However on Save'ing the story, the comment now shows what must be the
(corrupted?) bbcode for the pictures, rather than the pictures themselves:

Did I mess something up?  Could there be characters in the image title that are confusing the bbcode parser, or ...?
