Absolutely they are related. We have a server that cache's frequently used
pages and sometimes it hiccups. This is a service that's meant to help with
scalability of requests on the site- ususally works fine but sometimes needs
some tuning. My best suggestion here is to try a manual refresh of the page
by pressing F5 or the refresh button on the browser. Or close the browser
and reopen. It's kind of an intermittent issue.

Also, the other issue about logging into the main site- Austin, are you able
to log into the main site now with admin access? Again, if you have a
ucimc.org account *with the same login name* as the one you use for the
ucimc wiki and other central services, we may need to make some manual
updates to your ucimc.org account so that you can use your centralized
account on the website. Contact me if this is the issue. When I get back to
town I can look at this further for others besides Austin.

Austin, let me know if you still need access to the site for the VIF stuff.

Finally, there were a few hiccups this week as I upgraded the Drupal install
on ucimc.org. Most if not all of these issues (mainly relating to the
date/time module and calendar displays) are resolved.
