Hey all,
Just a reminder that the U-C IMC website (http://urbana.indymedia.org) is
INTERACTIVE, which means you can post the news that you see, announcements
for things you care about, and your opinions and observations about our
communities and the world. At the website you can also respond to,
clarify, or debate what others have posted. This is why the venue was
created--so that the news can be a dialogue, not a monologue.
The debate that appeared recently on this list is exactly the sort of thing
that is suited for the IMC website. It's more inclusive, because people
who aren't subscribed to the list can join in, and it's also less taxing on
the people who subscribe to this list, because on the site you get to
choose what you read or respond to much more easily than on e-mail.
Remember: If there's something you think needs to be reported, then this
is your opportunity to report. If you need advice, help, or just someone
to bounce ideas off of, ask for help on the site, the IMC or this
list! We're here to cooperate in changing the face of news and journalism.
Thanks,
Paul
