I guess attachments don't work too well. Here it is again. Sorry for the
previous message's unreadability.
IMC Librarians Meeting Minutes for May 10, 2001
Attending: Ellen Knutson, Mike Brunelle, James Jacobs
Meeting came to order at 5:15pm.
I. Brainstorming about magazines:
1. Much of the time was spent on organization issues involving our growing
magazine collection. Since we are beginning to receive subscriptions for
magazines, now is the time to implement a process by which they can be
organized and tracked. Mike will organize the current collection, breaking
them down into journals, zines, and newsletters.
2. A magazine database was also discussed. Ellen and Mike will begin looking
into design issues.
3. A check-in process is needed. It must be straight-forward so as to be
easily handled by volunteer staff. This will be discussed in more detail next
week.
II. Tasks were set for the next week. Mike agreed to organize the current
collection. Ellen will add new books to the shelf list. James will write
another subscription letter geared toward local and national newspapers.
III. Some time was spent cleaning out the librarians mailbox, and organizing
zines.
IV. Meeting adjourned at 6:25PM.
Respectfully submitted,
James Jacobs
