[Imcfest-volunteers] Status...

Hey all,

I wanted to shoot out a quick status to let everyone know where are and
what needs to be done.

Bands that have gotten back to us and their responses:
Kate Hathway and her brother James
-Can make it either day

The Living Blue
-Love the idea and are looking like they can play either day

Kilborn Alley
-Have a contract with Krannert for the week before that says they cant
play anywhere w/in 60 miles before or after the gig.  They are going to
see if they can get out of it, else they are willing to set up a whole
line-up on Sunday with compatible blues, jazz, roots folks.

Concerning bands, I have been focusing primarly on head liners for the
first round of promotion in a week.  It would be nice to have 3 or 4
more fairly big named bands to put on the first round of promotion.
Please reply with any big named bands you would want to see on this line-up.

I still need to get the dimensions to the lady who is going to do the
art show.  Anyone want to meet me at the IMC sometime to take
measurements of the main space?  Danielle, can we borrow your walking
measurement wheel thing?

I also still need to iron down what videos we should show in the early
afternoon hours.  Harsh has offered to do some video installations that
will be able to complement the performances so we should try and
coordinate with him.  We have all the equipment needed for the shows
right now but need to decide what to show.  Interested people should

I also still haven't figured out where to begin finding regarding zine
readers and activist speakers.  Let me know if you can point me in the
right direction or can take this on.

Friday
3PM: Doors Open
4pm-6pm: Film showings and speakers
6pm-7pm: Get ready for bands
7pm-12am: 5 45min slots for bands/performances
12am-5am: Electronic after party (DJs)

Saturday
11AM: Doors Open
12PM-2PM: Film showings and speakers
2pm-3pm: Get ready for bands
3pm-4pm: 9 45min slots for bands
12am-5am: Electronic after party (DJs)

Sunday (tentative)
3pm: Doors Open
4pm-??: Kilborn Alley & Friends blues, jazz, roots jam session
