I cheered, but then I read the article.

It's a pity that those poor policemen were ill-equiped to deal with the
rioting, extremely violent protestors. They certainly didn't have enough
pepper spray to spray people who were already handcuffed or cudgels with
which to beat people sitting down or tear gas to gas everyone, including
non-protestors, or "rubber" bullets to knock out more teeth.

He certainly should step down because of this!
