UN EJECTS U.S.
Global alliance to

"Lone Superpower"

THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS (Associated Poets) In an unexpected move late
yesterday, the United Nations General Assembly formally expelled the
United States of America, citing decades of blatant disregard for, and
malicious obstruction of, the U. N. Charter, international law, and the
will of the peoples of the world, as well as a long-standing delinquency
in payment of annual membership dues.

All U.S. officials connected to the American U. N. delegation have
declined comment, pending an emergency meeting of both houses
of the U. S. Congress and a formal statement from the President on the
matter.

Speaking on behalf of the 179 member nations which passed the resolution
ejecting the U. S., Undersecretary Nentash Barouq told reporters, "To the
majority of the world, this move comes as no surprise. The Americans have
flexed their economic and military muscle, to dire consequences, on every
continent in every decade since the inception of these United Nations.
They have acted against the interests of perhaps 7 billion human beings.
To allow this powerful rogue nation to remain in its position in the U. N.
seemed to most of our delegates, in short, unconscionable."

The General Assembly has consequently resolved to pull out of its
headquarters in New York, establishing instead a de-centralized network of
regional headquarters in twenty major cities around the globe, all in
constant communication via videophone. The next task facing the U. N.,
according to Barouq, will be "the true and full implementation" of the
U.N. Charter and Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as first adopted by
the General Assembly in 1948, and with special attention paid to articles
2,5,7, and 19 through 28.

Sources close to the General Assembly's agenda committee report that an
emergency "Article 23 Task Force" is now in formation, seeking to address
violations against workers' rights perpetrated by U. S.-based and
U.S.-protected corporations worldwide. According to a source close to the
Secretary General, the Article 23 Task Force intends to begin action
"without delay."
