[Newspoetry] UNIX babysitter wanted

Hey everybody, I have to travel to Brown to pitch the Newspoetry site to
a lot of very important figures in the international hypertext community
who won't be the slightest bit interested in a text-based hypertext
without Quicktime animations or Java Applets run by some assistant
webmaster in a city without oceans or mountains or ivy league
universities, probably, but I love to feel ignored in posh surroundings
by lots of highly-paid university people who have carved out a little
sphere of futuristic jargon for themselves. And I missed the Cybernetics
conference this year.

Anyway, I am going to this hypertext conference at an expensive
university and then to the AWP conference to receive a monetary award my
share of which will almost cover the cost of my hotel room there, all
because I helped write the first funny hypertext novel (to my
knowledge), and I am afraid this will mean that I won't be able to
connect to the internet. (Go figure.) So I am going to try to have poems
all the way through April 20th in place before I leave.

So, this next week is a great time to email me new poems.

Also, if anyone who is comfortable with Unix wants to take over the easy
but daily job of running a "cp" command to change the poem of the day,
let me know, and we can arrange things.

Love, your loving although in the hungry minutes before lunch sometimes
unnecessarily sarcastic editor, William
