What I Wish

Am I for real?
Needing so much
Big holes in
This life
Have I offended?
I didn't mean to
Explanation won't help
Harder to explain
Are wishful thoughts
Crossing my mind
Honesty is a policy
But sometimes it gets
Personal

Nagging lonelines
Wishing friendship
Would feed passion
Try not to
Feed the system
If you can help it
Try to survive
Without eating

Many long nights
Since last I loved
Anyone???
My expectations are simple
Yet it is not so simple
Being me
Hurting sometimes
Then pain
Then redemption
Briefly
Desire is not a solution
Leaves me wishing
What's real, what's me?
What do we do when lonely?

Only love lasts
Beyond distraction
Wishing I was whole
Wishing I was closer
To real
Wishing I was
The missing piece
In someone's puzzle
Writing a new chapter
in a broken life
Wishing, wishing...
There was tender mercy
In this harsh world.
