Forum on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB)

Sunday, May 7, 2000 4-6pm

Allen Hall, Main Lounge
1005 W. Gregory Dr., Urbana

During the week of April 16th, the nation watched as over 20,000 people
convened on Washington DC to protest the International Monetary Fund and
the World Bank. 14 Urbana residents traveled to DC to participate as part
of the international Mobilization for Global Justice.

Speakers from Urbana's School for Designing a Society will be discussing
their experiences as participants in the mass demonstrations. Join
community members from coalition labor, environmental, and student groups
in discussing the impact and roles of such international organizations as
the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in this educational
forum.
