Well, what with Wendy's excellent poem and Joe's letter the other day, I
went ahead and finished this ancient draft. "Georgie Ryan" by Peter
Miller and myself. By the way, I have that issue of the Gazette, perhaps
I should scan that ridiculous picture of Ryan with the goggles...

Georgie Ryan, Georgie Ryan
In the papers, you’re denyin’
You make every driver kick in
To your campaign apparatus
You’re rule and arrest defying
Georgie Ryan

Georgie Ryan, Georgie Ryan
Edgar kept the mansion dry, and
Then you brought the liquor back
Hosted orgies for its moguls
While you’re toasting, Edgar’s cryin’
MADD salutes you, Georgie Ryan

Georgie Ryan, Georgie Ryan,
Licensed truckers on the sly and
Rolled in campaign contributions
Truckers rolling off the highway
Accidents, with people dyin’
Did you do it, Georgie Ryan?

Georgie Ryan, Georgie Ryan
Off to Cuba you've gone flying
Humanitarian mission
A photo: frown at penicillin
Allegations you’re denying
Tell Fidel, ol’ Georgie Ryan
