Poem on the Theme of Mistake

This was a day peace prizes would anticipate
Sit back wee lads and hear what doth obliterate
As anxious antagonists' a-holes alliterated,
All mitigated gall motioned to unmitigate it

Three were put to death,
All under age eighteen
In Florida a great debate:
Is the electric chair too mean?
Better to inject them. Silent and unseen.
Priests reciting flagellated Buddhist hymns-- denial on the sly
Do hypocritic stenches waft too thickly when they fry?

And military bases are the basis for a plan
To kill off all the poor youth not yet thrown into the can
Jerry Brown in Oakland says he'll do it for the kids,
A military school, one-point-five million in the bids
Conservative or radical -- Grade 7 through grade 12?
Seems the mad hatter's flipped them lids!
As anxious antagonistic a-holes deliberated,
Bulimic mystics vomiting on Persian rugs prognosticated

Whose split infinitives
left tattered in the
loss unfounded
evidently
. . . nothing?

No metaphor interposes to indict the sage
whom links what is not possible and licks at the front page
indiscriminately fashionable, mesmerized by number games,
he strikes a match on microfiche as his teath burst into flames
Three children died last night on death row
And today, which Nobel laureate will step forward to accept the quid pro quo?
