I woke up this morning
with more blues than I could handle
I woke up this morning
with more blues than I could handle

'cause that low-down Republican ticket baby
puts me in the mind of the Iran-Contra scandal

Well Dick Cheney was in the white house
way back in 1988
oh, Dick Cheney was in that white old house
all the way back in 1988

Got that defense secretary job, man
for clearing Bush in Contragate

This election turns my stomach
every time I see that ticket
Lord, this election turns my stomach
every time I see that ticket

I'm gonna go on down to Texas
and tell George W. where to stick it.
