some money this month
consumer spending fell

bought that nice old house
new home sales plunged

opted not to
repanel the basement
construction spending dropped

quit my job at the factory
unemployment rose,
manufacturing output fell

had a granite monolith
delivered
durable goods orders jumped

unplugged the TV
ratings plummeted
electricity demand
hit bottom

jaywalked
crime rates soared

interest rates rose
decided to save
some money this month
