tobacco breathes
like other plants
the troposphere's
plentiful ozone

it's choking,
a canary in a
tobacco field

this week's
indicator species,
apparently

how can you,
abcbsnn, the fuckin
weather channel,
cram this into
a coupla soundbites?

your viewers
wrinkle up,
flip channels,

"i thought there
wasn't enough
ozone

"can't those
scientists
make up their
minds?"

and why skip
who funded this
research?

tell me it wasn't
big tobacco
desparately
looking for some other
use for their damn crop
