Nevermore

I sat before my screen
Trapped in Newspoetry Block
What should I say?
I'm often accused of being
More advluterous than most

Why is there so much
To write about
And so little inspiration?

I'm not sure a fat paycheck
Would help this empty feeling
It would, of course,
Make it easier to tolerate

The "End of History"?
When no one except the greedy
Have ever written our history
Proud workers of the world
It is not an end
But a beginning.
