Fuzzy Math: Presidential Olympics

327 out of 6 million is 5 thousandths of a percent.

if Bush had won a 100 meter dash with Gore in Sydney
with a time of 10 seconds, Gore's time would have been
9.9994513 seconds,
less than 1 thousandth of a second behind.

In the Olympics, this would be considered a tie and
any claims of victory unsportsmanlike.

(this is assuming that Bush and Gore are world-class
sprinters; actual times may vary slightly)
