[Newspoetry] Light verse about Newspoets (although not about the news)

The radical poet Gillespie
learned to code for the Web in ASP,
but to forces above
filed writs of pure love,
that curious William Gillespie.

A lit-org director, Scott Rettberg,
did the work of many a watt-erg:
cell phone by his brain,
breathing book-dust arcane...
Let us toast to the good heath of Rettberg.

The insistent newspoet Futrelle
said his name cannot be rhymed with "smelly."
That is all very well.
You should speak as you spell:
it will only scan, Joe, said "Futrelle."
