i am not tiger woods

i am not a standout token
or a token standout
for that matter
(there are plenty of women
in that male dominated field of physics
that stand out more than i...
and there are so many standouts
in that particular field
that standouts aren't tokens...)

i do not make more money
making sweatshop goods cool
than i do at my job
(then again
if a geeky physics girl
endorsed a line of clothing
it would be so uncool
that they would go under
immediately...
note to self)

i am not legally bound
to wear something
or use certain gear
(i'm sure the nameless shirtmakers
or the company who made the magnets
in the tevatron
appreciate my patronage
but i am still free to choose)

i am not tiger woods...
i realized this fact
while walking home
from working at the lab
a few days ago

and i also realized
that i am glad
