WHAT "SOLIDARITY FOREVER" MEANS TO ME

(to the tune of "John Brown's Body," a.k.a. "The Battle Hymn of the
Republic," a.k.a., "Solidarity Forever.")

It is us who wait the tables.
It is us who cut your hair.
It is us who flip your burgers
and who make your underwear.
Every worker needs a decent
living wage--It's only fair!
Will the Union make us strong?

CHORUS:	"Solidarity Forever"
	means workers fighting workers never.
	The boss, he thinks he's pretty clever,
	but a union makes us strong.

So we've got to feed our kids, here,
but you will not let us pass.
You call yourselves a union,
yet you bully and harass.
You call us f***ing scabs, and then
you kick us in the ass.
Is that how "Union" makes you strong?

CHORUS

Then, we open up the paper
in the morning and we read
that the corporations passed another
treaty based on greed.
When will our economic system
work for human need?
When our Union makes us strong!
