The mentally-retarded man who negligently discharged his gun on the
grounds of the President's home was facing tough times.

Sadly, he faces up to 10 years in prison if found guilty of negligent
discharge of a firearm on federal property, which is a class II
felony.

Why did he shoot? Why this? And will this happen again? There are
speculations on the reasons why....

He heard the sad news of thousands of layoffs at major companies like
Wards and aol.com.

He also got fed up with the postage stamp increase that came without
any notice from the USPS, and

The fears that gasoline prices could spike up to 3 dollars per gallon
if OPEC drastically cuts production in summer.

I am also upset about these things.

As for the shooter, perhaps he had been obsessed with John Hinckley
Jr., the one who tried to assassinate Ronald Reagan. Hinckley could
had gotten a mandatory life sentence, but he ended up scot free after
over 10 years in a mental hospital. Lucky for him!
