[Newspoetry] Clinton apologizes for pardons

NY, NY (Associated Poets): Former President Bill Clinton apologized
for the controversial pardons he granted on the last few days of his
presidency.  Several of the pardons have launched congressional
investigations and front-page scandals to rival those that raged
during his second term, as allegations of perjury and illicit sex
played out on the national stage.

"Pardon me," Clinton said when asked if he regrets his decisions to
pardon such controversial figures as convicted financier Marc Rich.

"Get it?" he added, "get it?"
