CNN: "India tends to quake survivors"

Three weeks after my harrowing near-fatal
car accident, I woke up to find myself vibrating
uncontrollably.

Was it an earthquake? No, it was India,
quaking me, seemingly unprovoked.

Thousands of survivors have similar stories
to tell. Survivors of child abuse,
divorce, and final exams have all fallen victim
to India's predilection.

"It's a disturbing tendency," confirms analyst
Quentin Pfvivre, who was recently knighted
for his research into seismic trends.

What motivates India remains as uncertain
as its choice of victims.

"In a sense, everyone is a survivor
of something," muses Pfvivre. "Think about that
the next time you feel the earth move."
