It seems like Congress will reverse itself and forget the dreaded, brand
new bankruptcy
laws in the first place. Those laws would have made it extremely
difficult for most
Americans to file Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy without sufficient
proof that they
are totally insolvent.

Congress got a 'indirect filibustering' from protestors in Washington
yesterday--the rich and poor
alike, who say that the brand new bankruptcy laws they are trying to
pass will cause severe
havoc, pain, and much higher risks of creditor harrassment, which can
lead people to either
get out of the United States or to commit suicide.

The protestors marched in front of the steps of the U.S. Capitol
yesterday--about
2000 in all. That is almost equivalent to the number of people
protesting the war in Vietnam. Although 15 protestors ended up arrested,
Congress realized the dire
consequences of the new bankruptcy laws. Dalia Rosen, the speaker of the
House, was
informed of the melee outside, and she decided in terms of preventing a
possible riot,
she said that the new laws will not be passed after all.
