proselytizers' picnic

the poster says
fun
food
fellowship
and no children without their parents

parents or not
the children
in all their naive glory
and appreciation
will eat lunch
and frolic with their present peers

but they can't understand as much language
as much coercion
as many threats
to "burn away
if you don't pledge your life this day"
as the accompanying grown-ups
