flutters susurrus
on a baritone gust
the first shoe airborne

neither billiards bald
nor rag rich
nap not raised, grain
indistinguishable from environs

crouched, rounded,
internally serpentine,
sends no extenders
until the last hook

forkful of liver and onions
green mustard
H-O derailment
9-volt battery
shaved ginger
fresh pencil

a gas so odorless
that a whiff of it
clears the passage
of steamed kale, loam
cotton clothes, skin
