The 1960s jetpacks actually flew, but spewed somewhat toxic chemicals.

I think I'll take a pass on that one. It looks like a miniature verision
of the V-22 Osprey. At least it'll only kill one person, instead of a
couple of dozen. The idea of giving them to the Special Forces first
ought to help discourage future wars, though, if my predictions are
true.
