the earthquake struck
without warning, of course
deep and severe
no explanation given

we used a thermobaric
without warning, of course
to puncture the wall
then ignite the fuel

explain the difference
whew that was a big one just missed us
between the victims
in caves skyscrapers Hiroshima

roses are black
and violets are dust
in the news bombs are as
inevitable as earthquakes
