[Newspoetry] Poem Submission

                 SHRUB-A-DUB-DUB 

FLASH! The Truth is there for all to see-
no more freedom for you and me. 
Things are falling in place-
the man has a plan- 
Hurt our minds, scar our souls-
Lady Liberty covers her face. 

What begins corrupt stays that way.
No matter what he does-
no matter what they say.
Our Fate was decided on Election day. 

A new day has dawned-
better practice your salute-
cover your eyes-
become a mute. 

The rich will get richer
on the backs of poor folk.
Compassion and caring
will be a big joke. 

An I.D. card will become a must.
Better watch what you say-
check out who you can trust. 

Life has changed-
we can never go back
to the innocence we had
before the attack. 

A sad nation now-
to thine own self be true.
Who should we be afraid of?
I'll leave that answer to you.
