Ah, William, that is so 1999 of you.  There is a way to link and keep 
frames intact.

Just use the URL

http://www.newspoetry.com/cgi-bin/ref?yr=YYYY&mo=MM&day=DD

where YYYY is the year, MM is the day and DD is the day.

For instance today's newspoem is at

http://www.newspoetry.com/cgi-bin/ref?yr=2002&mo=5&day=18
