[Newspoetry] Little Lily hopes for no more attacks

             NEW FEARS FROM LITTLE LILY

Hello. I am the Little Lily.
I am the person who is
As gentle as the breeze.

Yes, O, Little Lily, trying to relax
After nine-eleven. Or did I?......

But then more fear.
Heard that some of the bad guys
In Camp X-ray
In Guantanamo
Talked about some crap
About more terrorist attacks
Including one against
The Statue of Liberty
And the
Brooklyn Bridge.
I also heard on latest news reports
About those same bad guys
(especially from the Al-Queda group)
Using the fearful tactic that is putting Israel on its knees--
Planning suicide bombing attacks....
IN THE U.S.!!!!!
Sure, Little Lily is scared.
This puts a twist on
America's somber patriotic holiday
a.k.a.
Memorial Day.
I believe all of those prisoners
in Camp X-Ray,
In my opinion,
Will hold off these
Possible attacks,
Because these bad guys know
That this holiday the U.S. celebrates
Will have a much more profound significance
Becuase of the nine-eleven attacks and the
Current War on Terror.

And then, Little Lily gets even more scared
About this year's upcoming
Fourth of July.
Every American knows this holiday...
And perhaps, so do those bad guys in X-Ray,
Who perceive that the
Fourth of July
Represents freedom for all U.S. citizens.
Little Lily fears that because the Fourth of July
Stands for America's patriotism of democracy,
Extremists, especially from that of X-Ray, might be
thinking of a possible attack on the U.S. on that day.
Little Lily fears that if such plans for attacks are
Confirmed,
I am afraid that Fourth-of-July picnics,
Parades,
And other similar celebrative gatherings,
May be pushed inside
Or even cancelled,
Because groups like Al-Qaeda,
Who put on that grand terroist display on 9-11
By destroying the
World Trade Center Towers,
Use the instrument of
FEAR
To try to take away
The freedom of movement
All Americans take for granted.

Again, Little Lily is concerned.
All I hope for is
That these planned attacks do
NOT
happen.
