list was publicized, i had written
some haiku to recite to telemarketers
in lieu of their spiels:

don't deposit folks
in a phone bank; in their stead
plant whispering pines

what do we do now?
we have a bad connection
listen to the snow

for this important message:
bush lies like a snake

if you hold a shell
far from your ear the ocean
chatters regardless

vocal muscles tire
from repetitive motion
call general strike

caged bird rings the bell
your call puts us both on hold
you are important

talk for a living:
pundits, politicians; you
should be president

telemarketers
are not the ones dialing phones
they are the owners
