[Newspoetry] Inaugeration: It augurs ill when ushering in evil

Winds off the River swirled aimlessly down the Street,
chasing out a common Man, putting in Dummies for him --
the Partisans have come to Town to celebrate Success.

Sullen Crowds lost hope and knew not how to find it --
not here in the Spectacle that hides behind glass Walls,
tantalizingly close: untouchable window-dressing Displays.

The Thunder of Drums, the martial Music in full blare,
the High and the Mighty, smile and smirk down upon us,
rejoicing in their deceptive Fraud upon our Democracy.

A Man who was never honestly elected President tells us
how the World looks to America for its Moral Standards: fair and free Elections shall express the People's Will.

Forget Ohio, and all the other Towns where the Fix was in,
forget Florida four years ago, forget it, a by-gone Theft
lacks weighty Meaning, only Power-wielding itself matters.

Unless and until these evil Men leave Town, I shall weep,
My bitter tears in exile speak Sympathy to those Ruins
these Villains deconstruct by a governing Greed-creed.
