[Newspoetry] Why we're losing a war on terrorism...

You have to know misery.
What it means to grow up,
to see beloved ways of your people
of your family, disappearing,
lost in the mindless of the West,
the incessant seeking after money,
the more, the sooner, the better.

It's insane,
capitalist greed,
the lust for money,
the lust for inequality,
the lust for power and domination,
the corruption of simple life.

Once you realize the horror,
it's no wonder you find recruits,
ready to pledge everything,
their lives, their fortunes,
their sacred honors,
life itself, to fight fervently
the terrors of capitalism,
the anomie of a free society
wherein alienated man dies alone,
a mindless statistic, lacking meaning,
a burdening drag on society,
once his productive years are past.

Hell, I'd gladly shoot Bush,
or the evil dark lord Cheney himself,
if given half a chance,
not to escape death,
but to bring theirs about.

That's what I'd say,
if I were a so-called terrorist,
I'd be hunting down true terrorists,
exterminating the vermin who rule.
